I ask the same question with regard to the USS Liberty attack "by Israel." Is there any doubt that listening station on Cyprus, looking like the orb in The Prisoner, didn't pick up Israel's radio traffic in the hours preceding the attack? There can be only 2 possible scenarios: Britain helped Israel or stood down and let the slaughter happen.

I hadn't considered that before. Yet it makes perfect sense.
