Declassified files shed fascinating light on how during the Cold War, Yugoslavia was a subject of intense cloak-and-dagger interest to British intelligence propagandists within Information Research Department (IRD). IRD was a domestic and foreign psychological warfare unit staffed by diplomats, information operation specialists, and spies founded in 1948.
"The cache offers highly illuminating insight into how British spies constructed and disseminated propaganda campaigns during the Cold War, with obvious relevance to the present day. For example, at one stage the BBC is axiomatically described as one of many “organs of publicity” that British intelligence “control or influence.”"
The more I discover (reading the internet) how the US and NATO has destroyed individual nations and robbed them blind, the more I detest all things American. This is just one more example of many that encourages my hatred!

@Kit. I appreciate this work on your part and see it as relevant in today's world.
Excellent work, as always. Thanks, Kit.
Thanks for being a truth seeker, Kit!

For that matter, Romania received preferential treatment before 1989, as it was also a Communist country relatively independent of the Soviet Bloc.
Am gonna have to read this again properly when I have more time tomorrow.
