Wow, I had no idea. Thank-you, Kit. There are so few true journalists anymore. That courage that win’t be denied. So grateful to have found you and The Grayzone. God bless.
I’ve witnessed the fall of media for quite sometime now. Having been raised among liberal elites who read the New York Times on Sunday and listened to NPR believing every word it has been astounding, but undeniable.
I’ve gratefully managed to develop a keen sensitivity to a true journalist in this cesspool of insane fear and insecurity that leaves an endless source of those willing to lie for job security and elite status.
I can only describe as a gift, a God moment where I can breath more easily knowing there are still those, not so unafraid to speak truth to power, but unable to do anything else.
When I find them, like I happened upon you, my soul leaps and takes note. I’m not naive. Power not only concedes nothing, it tortures and kills to protect itself.
In the spirit of these facts, again, may God bless and keep you well for the greatest good that is truth.
Keep up the courageous work Kit -I was very sorry to see you were detained. I am glad you are ok - I listen to your account of the ordeal and appreciated your good humor, despite all of the events.
It is so discouraging to see how little investigative journalism actually exists today and how pervasive the lack of critical thinking is not only in American journalism, but amongst American public- I notice it in my professional field- made much worse during the pandemic when doctors were co-opted for the sake of an official narrative, and we were forbidden to express our usual academic inquiry and reservations that should’ve normally existed -and I also notice this in my media colleagues as an outsider and an occasional Guest Contributor and an occasional Guest opinion writer - it’s very easy to see as an outsider to the media machine how the lack of critical thinking allows such untrammeled objectification of the media apparatus to serve one particular narrative. The fact that most of the American public has lost the skills of critical thinking-even (or should I say especially?)amongst the intellectual classes -is very worrisome and I wonder where critical thinking has gone. Its absence is to the detriment of everyone, irrespective of one’s politics. This is a fascinating piece, which many need to read. I will share
I'm reading Ellsberg's account of his Vietnam research and his subsequent leaking of the Pentagon Papers. It's a great read, and it would be foolish indeed to "see" the Kremlin's fingerprints all over his decision. Daniel Ellsberg was a genuine patriot, and hated seeing his country getting into ever deeper shit, prepared to go to jail if need be - a glaring contrast with the crime family in the White House, Biden's colleagues on Capitol Hill, and not forgetting the hacks that scribble their rubbish for the MSM.

Thank *you* for your incredibly kind words, Clare. Every day's a new case to solve!
