Fantastic work, Kit. This information should be a wakeup call to any nation in the cross hairs of Western Imperialism. The US-built institutions that pretend to serve peace have been proven time and time again to actually be mechanisms of control and infiltration. Pretending the US is a "neutral actor" is beyond ridiculous and serves the interest of no state trying to maintain its sovereignty.
So, it’s affiliated. It’s not meaningless, but your argument that it’s not fair to blame the UN when it has some independence is a fair position… Well, it would be, if it weren’t for the UN suffering from the same structural bias and capture as the agencies within its “system”. My personal position is I would still strongly support the UN if it were decolonised, democratised and reformed. The General Assembly sometimes manages to display a collective conscience.
I used to work for an ‘arm’s length’ agency of the British Government. The length of that are was very short and very quick to yank a collar if it exercised and meaningful independence, including strangulation of funding.
And this is expecially horrific - a UN organization collecting assasination lists for a rogue state? WTF? :
"a day prior to the entity’s broadside, Press TV published documents indicating the International Atomic Energy Agency previously provided Israeli intelligence the names of several Iranian nuclear scientists, who were subsequently killed."
UN authorized war on Korea a few years after that organization was founded by the victors of WWII...
It appears that The International Atomic Energy Agency is a joke after their descriptions of what went down on Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Station, the largest in Europe. Long story short forking ukro freedom fighters attempted time and time again to strike the facility, doing the nuke terrorism just like another jewel of civilization with a track record of bombing regional nuclear facilities.
This Devious Evil Beast’ tentacles have the power to destroy, murder, create insurgency, assassinate World leaders and cripple any countries economy. The Zionist Jewish Race and all other Countries associated with them cannot be trusted they have no Honour or Dignity they have completely destroyed Gaza with the help of their allies. If you look closely at their allies you will find their Nation’ are Run by Puppets of the Zionist Empire. All no exceptions of the Western World leaders are twisted bent corrupt liars who have been caught in the tentacles of the Zionist Empire and cannot be Trusted. Whatever Netanyahu and his followers say is carried out by the compromised Western elites simply because they have been shown evidence of disgusting behaviour, receiving Bribes of expensive items luxury trips and Huge sums of CASH. This is the people we voted for to make all lives better but they cannot as they are in the Hip Pocket of Netanyahu and his Mossad War Criminals. All the Quango’s no exceptions allegedly created to do the right thing for World Peace and Safety are in Fact just as twisted, bent, and Corrupted Liars as the Western World’ Political Elites.
I spent time and energy investigating the WHO and all those that created and managed it; that was very early on in the Covid Hoax days.
It was soon clear to me there was an on-going attempt to take over the whole world via the UN by using Health as reason, ergo WHO and its terrorist boss, who was not a medical doctor.
UN also hosted the Agenda 2030 declaration passed some years ago...and still trying, trying...
There are aspects of UN that seem to be helpful to mankind, but it's just one of many organisations that steer and/or attempt to steer human kind in a direction that is not for our good, but for some other entity.
Covid was NOT a hoax. That is anti-China propaganda. Read the World Socialist Web Site on the subject of Covid, a disease that is still actively infecting people right now.
The idea that covid was significantly more dangerous then the flu was a hoax. The idea that it came from a wet market in China was a hoax. The idea that it leaked from a Chinese lab in Wuhan was probably a limited hangout (the truth being that the US made virus was probably leaked from Fort Dietrich, where it was originally made, either deliberately or by accident around May 2019). The idea that shutting down society, locking people in their houses, and forcing them to wear face nappies was either necessary or useful was a hoax. The idea that the "vaccines" were safe and effective was not so much a hoax as mass murder. But no, the idea that the virus itself actually exists is not a hoax. (Speaking as a registered nurse with a masters degree and more then 20 years clinical experience - including in ICU).
....and they are shocked and wonder why the rest of the world does not trust them nor like them to put things mildly.....They are Organized Crime Syndicates. Nothing more.
There are a number of excellent people who were part of UN .... until they found out what it was all really about. One well-known example is the man in Romania who was "almost" elected to run that country and blocked by various stratagems...
Who would benefit from the globalist agenda more than the employees of the global institutions themselves? Certainly not Klarenberg, who is probably the bravest real journalist of our time, put aside Assage.
What's disappointing is that most of the U.S. population didn't even know what multilateralism was, while it was ongoing, partly due to the mainstream media, partly due to the fact that indy journalists didn't play any kind of educative role.
And others played a key role in drafting the Universal Declaration on Human Rights such as Rene Cassin and John Humphrey (a fellow Canuck).
But I guess your American centrism is a prejudice too.
I know people who have been part of UN Peacekeeping missions. Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean we are misguided. Typical arrogant leftist language, and no, I am not a conservative or a centrist.
If you truly think that the United States and its catamites have not infiltrated from top to bottom every organization in the UN, then your naivete is truly touching.
He didn't accuse UN at any point in the article. Your experience with UN might've clouded your judgement that you underestimate the influence of those "affiliated" organizations. Many of these dirty operations are well documented.
Try to have a beginner's mindset. Read some books on the topics. Be more humble.
I am supporting Kit's article. I have been supporting him for years. Try to learn to interpret my comments as against the UN, not against Kit Klarenberg.
I believe Kit’s choice of the word “affiliated” in the title is appropriate and not in the least hyperbolic. Here is OSCE’s official language [1] on the matter. Visited today:
“The United Nations is the OSCE’s primary partner organization. This is because the OSCE recognizes that the United Nations Security Council bears the primary responsibility for the maintenance of global peace and security.”
I would also point out that the word partnership is OSCE and UN’s choice of word and has been reiterated and codified. Also of note: a number of partnership solidifying milestones listed in the citation going back to 1992 (under Chapter VIII of the UN Charter); in 1993 with the OSCE-Secretariat Framework for Co-operation and Co-ordination; “observer status” conferred also in 1993; etc…it continues.
Most importantly is the section
“Framework for co-operation”
which lists:
“- High-level tripartite meetings between the respective Chairpersons and Secretaries General of the OSCE and the Council of Europe, as well as the Director General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, and others, have been held annually since 1993.
- Target-oriented meetings at staff level precede each high-level tripartite meeting.
- High-level meetings between the UN and regional organizations, to strengthen co-operation in facing challenges to international peace and security, held regularly since 1994.
- UN Security Council meetings with regional organizations on thematic issues related to peace and security, have been held annually since 2003.
- The OSCE has observer status in the UN General Assembly, while the UN is invited to participate in OSCE Ministerial Council and Summit meetings.
- UN representatives are frequently invited to address the OSCE Permanent Council.
- Representatives of relevant United Nations entities are invited to participate in the main annual OSCE events, including the Human Dimension Implementation Meeting, the Economic Forum and the Annual Security Review Conference.
- Annual UN-OSCE staff-level meetings serve as an important venue for the exchange of information and co-ordination of activities.”
oh,.shut up. The UN system is rotten and everybody knows it but you. They pay you a substantial retirement well above the average citizen which makes you an active propaganda operative.
The fact is that the voting structure is such that a single vote by US, Russia, UK or China can cause a motion to fail even when every other vote in the house is in opposite direction.
I didn't get that impression at all reading the article. He may have chosen a word or two too loosely, but the article itself makes clear that he only talking about specific organisations - which ARE indisputably riddled with spies and corruption.
Nor, although you didn't make this argument - is he calling for the dissolution of the UN body, so clearly he is hoping for reformation if it is at all possible.
Not the international orgatisations.... BULL SHIT. You mean all those international civil servants including you cannot be bought not only with juicy salaries but also with bribes and threats? What about Covid WHO? You are pathetic and have no interest for truth or reform. And probably most of the UN staff is just like you, full time morons.
The Grayzone, Mate and Klarenberg all seem to be part of a trend in alternative media that smears any climate or environmental action as somehow sinister. They infer that the UN's SDGs are part of a plot to destroy the West. They also ignore or believe that the climate crisis has been debunked.
This spying by the UN seems to be part of that trend.
We all know where the trend was started, by which industries and with what purpose.
Yep. Klarenberg seems to be part of the smearing of the UN and 'globalist' organisations rather than pointing the finger where it should be pointing- at the US.
So what DOES the UN do, there is a US provoked war in Ukraine, a genocide and multiple attacks on neighboring countries by a country that HAS NEVER fulfilled the conditions of it's acceptance and the UN does nothing, NO ONE from the UN has room to criticise anyone unless they are willing to also criticise the UN for it's lack of neutrality and standing up for the charter.
Complaining that the UN doesn't stop any U.S. policy is laughable.
I find it so annoying when American citizens blame the UN for the the U.S. government's policies. As a US citizen, you have power to have a voice in the U.S. government. Vote.
That's an absurd comment, if you don't know that, you should.
The US is currently supporting and participating in a genocide, it has illegally bombed a country for no apparent reason other than the other partner in the genocide wanted them to do it, they have also attacked a civilian nuclear facility their own intelligence community said hadn't done anything toward developing a nuclear weapon since the 2003 and the JCPOA. They are also, continually meddling in the internal affairs of other countries, read the charter, that's not allowed.
Now I'm not a US citizen, but have you seen a significant change in US foreign policy apart from who is the enemy, de jour, regardless of which party is in office. George Carlin, I suppose semi-sarcastically said, "So I have solved this little political dilemma for myself in a very simple way: on election-day, I-STAY-HOME. I don’t vote. Fuck ’em. FUCK THEM. I don’t vote. Two reasons. Two reasons I don’t vote: first of all, it’s meaningless. This country was bought and sold and paid for a long time ago. The shit they shuffle around every four years doesn’t mean a fuckin’ thing. And secondly, I don’t vote ’cause I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around. I know, they say, they say: “well if you don’t vote you have no right to complain”. But where’s the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent people, and they get into office and screw everything up, well you are responsible for what they have done, YOU caused the problem, you voted them in, you have no right to complain. I on the other hand, who did not vote, WHO DID NOT VOTE. Who in fact did not even leave the house on election-day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done, and have every RIGHT to complain as loud as I want, about the mess YOU created, that I had nothing to do with. So I know that a little later on this year, you’re going to have another one of those really swell presidential elections that you like so much. You enjoy yourselves. It will be a lot of fun. I’m sure as soon as the election is over, your country will “improve” immediately. As for me, I’ll be home on that day, doing essentially the same thing as you, the only difference is, when I get finished masturbating, I’m going to have a little something to show for it folks."
Journalists (mainstream and non-MSM) usually pick one whatever aspect of the UN that serves to buttress their stated argument, which leaves the wider public with a distorted perspective.
Klarenberg just implicated that the entire international organization system in spying, which is an outrageous distortion. If he wants to accuse IAEA of that, or OSCE of that, then he should state that and make his points, but painting the entire framework of organizations that way is inaccurate. Spies can be put anywhere by governments, including in the private sector, or local governments, "or wherever", and if that annoys you complain about the government that does it and be-specfic about the actual practice- if you are american you have the free-speech rights to write about such governmental complaints. But "bashing" international humanitarian work, or international development work (which is tangible work, which has concrete outputs) is not ok.
Klarenberg's article is part of the recent bash-USAID movement (throwing the UN-related international organizations in the pot) that came-out of the complaints that USAID was periodically misused by US intelligence (which is true), but the "baby was thrown-out with the bathwater". The only journalist who complained about the effect of USAID dissolution was Nicolas Kristoff, who has provided photos and stories of African kids who died from their HIV meds being cut due to USAID being shut. It was easy to bash USAID (which most Americans knew little about, and which comprised about .01% of the overall US budget, and mostly not used for creepy projects, mostly for real humanitarian work).
The UN does so much, and most people in the US don't hear any of it. Other countries are far more active and their citizens are better informed, also more participative.
There's different UN Secratariat organizations and UN international organizations working on: Economic development, investment promotion (UNCTAD, ITC-UNCTAD/WTO), with migrants "on the ground" and politically (IMO), with refugees in war-zones and withi refugee-laws at the international level under the 1951 Convention on Refugees(UNHCR), with children's rights and supporting the international treaty on the Rights of the Child (UNICeF), with telecom standards and industry (ITU), dealing with a massive four-part trade treaty that's the enshrinement of 70 years of trade negotiations under the GATT (WTO - which has a functioning dispute settlement court - the only international court that has U.S. participation-or did until the US held-up new judicial appointments in 2017).
I've worked in the private sector in the U.S. UN work is professional and can be quite technical - and it's all documented and online if you want to learn about it.
the evidences are overwhelming. So why is it unfair? You are being beyond unfair defending the undefendable. Both OSCE and IAEA, but also WHO, UNICEF and others are totally corrupt, unlegitimate and dead for history. Little wonder you work for them.
The article says UN-Affiliated. It reports to the UN General Assembly and Security Council. It’s clearly affiliated.
And they answer to the party that pays the most into the UN, they want the services they paid for!
And the party that threatens your children if you don’t do as they say. *cough John Bolton cough.
So, it’s affiliated. It’s not meaningless, but your argument that it’s not fair to blame the UN when it has some independence is a fair position… Well, it would be, if it weren’t for the UN suffering from the same structural bias and capture as the agencies within its “system”. Yeah the IAEA is a tool of the US and the UN is compromised by the US.
The US should be the ones denigrated in the headline not the UN itself.

Right on Kit.
Kit Klarenberg has been reporting on these kinds of subterfuge for decades. How long have you been reporting on it?
At least Jennifer admits she is a former UN official. One should take that into account when reading her post.
And these days I think a lot of folks from left to right distrust so called humanitarian institutions cause we see them as captured organizations.
There are a number of excellent people who were part of UN .... until they found out what it was all really about. One well-known example is the man in Romania who was "almost" elected to run that country and blocked by various stratagems...

"Globalism" =/= "Internationalism".
Internationalism is the idea that nations work together. Globalism is the idea that private corporations will run the World.

Actually the term is multilateralism, not internationalism. And multilateralism may-well be on it's way-out.
What's disappointing is that most of the U.S. population didn't even know what multilateralism was, while it was ongoing, partly due to the mainstream media, partly due to the fact that indy journalists didn't play any kind of educative role.

You brought up prejudices in your reply to my reply. I just thought it would be fun to throw it back at you.
Anyways, I look forward to your Trump led invasion of Canada. I will even prepare pancakes and maple syrup as a welcoming gift for you and the Donald.
If you truly think that the United States and its catamites have not infiltrated from top to bottom every organization in the UN, then your naivete is truly touching.
Even if true, it doesn't change the central point.

Wrong. About me personally. More importantly, about the IOs, which have lots of flaws and problems and problematic histories.
But the IOs don't have paid spies. That's a national government thing.
The Grayzone, Mate and Klarenberg all seem to be part of a trend in alternative media that smears any climate or environmental action as somehow sinister. They infer that the UN's SDGs are part of a plot to destroy the West. They also ignore or believe that the climate crisis has been debunked.

Tell me where he is wrong!
Only in the title, which may have been poorly chosen. The article itself is quite specific however, wouldn't you agree?
Not just the title, but the first paragraph was poorly written, unless his intention was to be intentionally distorsive and hyperbolic.

Actually, the English is "the evidence is overwhelming", which is interesting as you've not provided any (evidence). Nor any relevant argument.
I wont waste a word on you. Look up for yourself. Kits works are not the only ones. Of course you wont since you are part of the problem.
was that correct English?
You appear capable of recognising that it's 2025 but not that it's really quite a long time since 1945.
