Thank you for your fearless journalism and for daring to speak truth to power knowing what the likely consequences will be. I have recently been following Tommy Robinson's progress in seeking to do the same, despite having been robbed of his house, family and just about everything else other than his steely determination not to bend, let alone bow, to corrupt and merciless authority. You, Assange and Tommy are inspiring beacons of hope in an increasingly dark world.

My straight SWAG is that H.M. Government is intentionally slow-playing the Assange extradition in hopes that he dies before being handed over.

I think you are right. I can’t see how either the British or Americans actually want this extradition and trial to go ahead, given what it says about press freedom etc. But they do want him punished and silenced, so dead ticks both boxes.

Yep. And let's see what tends to happen when a foreign person or group is accused of a (ridiculous) crime and they actually show up in public (not military tribunal) court. Recall how quickly Mueller dropped the charges against the Russian firm that lawyered up and demanded discovery. Whoops! Or how about Osama Bin Laden? "Trust us, we were there to CAPTURE HIM and put him on trial!" Riiiiight. The Assange persecution serves a couple of purposes.

1) Send a chill down the spine of any person or media organization that might publish state secrets

2) Buy time with the public to sneakily establish the censorship laws and state apparatus(es) to enforce them

3) Drags the thing out so long that it's extremely unlikely he'll ever get his day in court

4) Hope he dies a broken man, bringing me back to item #1

Called my state Senator this am looking fur assurance he will not support Julian’s extradition as this would go against his pledge to uphold The Constitution.
