I wish there were some links that’s part of the problem. I find it very hard to understand how people cannot connect the dots. I follow this author is very good. I’m very happy with his reporting however we have to look at what’s going on in the totality of Europe, that is the war in Ukraine will decide what happens in the Balkans. NATO lost the war, NATO in the EU will collapse. Just look at what’s going on in Berlin, London, Paris, Rome. Serbia needs this to happen sooner than later. Also pay attention to Turkey and Greece. Turkey wants to take advantage and take over the Agean Sea.

Too often the US/UK/NATO war against (Socialist and Non-Aligned during the Cold War) Yugoslavia - an underhanded, conniving German-US-NATO-EU-led war which finally woke up and removed the rose colored glasses of the Russian elites to the sheer hypocrisy and brazen backstabbing perfidy of US/UK/NATO governments and corporate controlled media - has been largely ignored/forgotten.
We all know that US government so called "assurances" are obviously NOT worth the paper they are written upon. Especially if one recalls US government so called "assurances" from the first Persian Gulf War against Iraq which were given to its leader Saddam Hussein in 1990 by US ambassador Ms. April Glaspie - when she flat out LIED to the Iraqi leader - that the US government supposedly had "no interest in taking sides" or getting in any way involved in the dispute Iraq had with Kuwait.
We all know how that particular US government "assurance" to Iraq worked out with over half a Million Iraqi children and babies killed due to lack of medical supplies by US imposed sanctions as admitted to by Madeleine Albright in her notorious 60 Minutes interview in 1996.
US government "assurances" given to the Serbian people during the 1990s Balkans conflicts were just as worthless as the ones given to Iraq in 1990 and those given to Libya in the 2000s and early 2010s prior to the US/NATO bombardment of Libya in 2011.
Especially the laughable US "assurances" expressed in the mid July 1995 NSC document overseen by Madeleine Albright, George Tenet, Sandy Berger and Strobe Talbott - the same Strobe Talbott who went on an urgent trip to Moscow in 1999 to shamelessly bribe Russian president Boris Yeltsin with huge amounts of $$$$ in order to betray president Slobodan Milosevic during the barbaric 78 day US/NATO bombardment with Depleted Uranium munitions of civilian infrastructure including petro-chemical plants, electricity generators, maternity hospitals, children's schools and so forth, all across the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
To make matters substantially worse, the July 17 1995 NSC document declassified by the CIA - with no mention whatsoever of any Western media/government claims of any alleged massacre of thousands of Muslim "men and boys" supposedly occurring in the immediate aftermath of the Washington DC government of Bill Clinton and the Sarajevo "Bosnian" government of islamist leader Alija Izetbegovic - who both agreed together to stage the so called "fall of Srebrenica" at the time the NSC document was dated in mid July 1995.
This orchestration of the staged "fall of Srebrenica" was attested to in a report published by the office of the UN Secretary General, Boutros Boutros Ghali, wherby the UN Secretary General stated that Bill Clinton had personally informed Izetbegovic that in order to achieve a US/NATO military intervention against the Bosnian Serbs, that at least a minimum of "5,000" of Izetbegovic's troops would have to be sacrificed in a supposed "massacre" to act as a Casus Belli pretext for Western military bombardment of the Bosnian Serbs on behalf of Izetbegovic's government in Sarajevo.
Even Izetbegovic's government SDA party members such as his Srebrenica police chief Hakija Meholjic testified that a meeting took place between Izetbegovic and Clinton's representatives concerning the above arrangement prior to the "fall of Srebrenica".
In June 1998, Srebrenica’s wartime chief of police, Hakija Meholjic told the Sarajevo newspaper 'Dani' that in September 1993 Izetbegovic told him:
“You know, I was offered by [Bill] Clinton in April [1993] that the [Serbian] Chetnik forces enter Srebrenica, carry out a slaughter of 5,000 Muslims, and then there will be a [US/NATO] military intervention.”
Here is a statement made by former Bosnian Muslim commander Nesib Buric, in a statement to the Sarajevo daily newspaper “Dani”, on January 18, 1999:
“No one can deny that in the Srebrenica municipality there are 2,000 buried [Bosnian Muslim] fighters. No one can deny that we set up a large free territory. However, without assistance from outside we could not hold out for long surrounded by the enemy. You can write that I absolutely support the statement by Hakija Meholjic that we were betrayed.”
At least 1,000 Bosnian Muslim troops from Srebrenica were killed by their [Bosnian Muslim] compatriots during the breakthrough to Tuzla in July 1995, because there were lists of those who *”Have to be prevented from reaching freedom, at any cost”* – as stated by Bosnian Muslim Ibran Mustafic in his book, "Planirani Haos" (The Planned Chaos)
Clinton's NSC document was dated several days after General Ratko Mladic's Bosnian Serb army had fallen into the US government's trap by foolishly entering the Non-demilitarized so called "UN safe haven".
The document typed up by Clinton's NSC urgently looking for an off-ramp to the Bosnian quagmire was because of nervous anticipation of Clinton's looming re-election campaign in 1996 - and this is even specifically mentioned in the NSC document itself as a matter of pressing concern as it pertains to the warring parties in Bosnia causing a major embarassment to Clinton's chances of being re-elected if a diplomatic setllement is not reached.
This of course meant that Clinton's NSC team was very urgently looking for any way they could to cajole-induce-threaten the leader of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Slobodan Milosevic - via the simultaneous carrot and stick approach of lifting Western imposed sanctions and the threat of US/NATO bombardment of targets inside Serbia itself - as a way of forcing the FRY president to apply intense pressure on the leader of the Bosnian Serbs, Dr. Radovan Karadzic, to accept the so called "Contact Group Plan" proposals that "Islamic Declaration" author and leader of the Muslim Bosniaks, Alija Izetbegovic, was insisting the Bosnian Serbs accept as a starting point before any further peace negotiations could take place.
The NSC document overseen by Albright, Berger, Talbott, and Tenet suggests going so far as giving the FRY president Milosevic and the Republic of Srpska president, Dr. Karadzic, even more outlandish and utterly laughable US government so called "assurances" regarding a
"Bosnian Serb confederation with the FRY following a settlement..."
an "assurance" which we all know was a bald faced LIE by Clinton's disingenuous NSC team.
The NSC document contains explicit threats against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
as a means of pressuring president Milosevic to betray his Bosnian Serb brethren:
"We would at the same time warn Milosevic that, if we detect Serbian military support, we will use air power against Serbian forces operating inside Bosnia and against the Drina bridges and other
supply routes, and that we do not rule out strikes against military targets inside Serbia."
"We would offer substantial sanctions relief to induce Milosevic to stay out, fully seal the border, and accept a much larger international monitoring force."
Yet another US government "assurance" which we all know was an outright bald faced LIE by Clinton's disingenuous NSC team.
It is an excellent text. However, there is a path to a peaceful Bosnia, if only the Sarajevo side would once in their life step down from their highly fake and highly toxic high horse. That propaganda, that they are the sole victims of the war, that they wish to brand half of their compatriots genocidal, that they want to build a unitary state under their own rules and return Bosnia to its Ottoman feudal condition of before the Serbian liberation, is the delusion that is destroying the country. They have to learn to step down from their hubris and extend a hand to those who could actually hear it and accept it, because those people are fundamentally their brothers, the same people. But they will not, because they love their victimhood too much. And as long as that stands, the Serbs will do what Serbs do best. Inat. Spite. Hajduk. War is a young man's game, and young Bosnians who haven't left are disgusted by local corruption. A parting grace of the the OHR would be to segment a third, Croat republic and pre-define an arrangement for transit across intra-Bosnian republics for access to isolated areas (Brcko, Bihac) to facilitate a velvet divorce by mutual consent along pre-defined borders and the he least bad option.
